The Letter Hood is a key piece within the Home Capsule by EARLS, designed as a quiet reflection on origin, memory, and place.

Constructed from a heavyweight 420gsm natural twisted cotton terry jersey, the piece is built for structure and durability while maintaining a soft, worn-in hand feel. It features a contrast hood with intentional distressing around the hood area, adding a sense of lived history and imperfection that reinforces the capsule’s narrative of time and memory.

On the upper back, an EARLS branded felt appliqué is applied with a zig-zag stitch for a raw, crafted finish, paired with a vegan leather patch for refined contrast. Inside, a custom print inspired by the carpet from Lewis’s childhood home transforms a familiar domestic texture into layered memory. Together, these details position the Letter Hood as a reminder that home is carried through texture, upbringing, and lived experience.
